CEO and Co-Founder
Timothy brings to the CityRyde team years of business and technology expertise as well as a passion for bicycles. Timothy graduated Drexel University with a Business Administration degree with a concentration in Legal Studies. Outside of CityRyde, Timothy enjoys working with other entrepreneurs to make the world a better place. Timothy also enjoys skiing, traveling, cooking, new technologies as well as volunteering his time with numerous causes. Timothy also studied at the Imperial College in London and was first exposed to bike sharing on a visit to Paris. Timothy found the system to be useful and efficient, and wondered why such a system had not yet made it to the U.S. After discussing the concept of bringing bike sharing to the United States with his business partners, they both agreed not only that it was a great idea, but it was something that they would find useful in their daily lives. Timothy spent the next 2 years traveling to cities such as Paris, Lyon, Berlin, Munich, Stockholm, Barcelona, Dublin, London, Washington DC, San Francisco, Boston, New York, Rome and others to talk with representatives about their bike sharing systems or plans to implement a bike sharing system. As a well seasoned traveler, Timothy has had first hand experiences with virtually all of the major bicycle sharing systems worldwide allowing him to truly understand each system’s strengths and weaknesses which has positioned CityRyde as the industry experts in bike sharing. Timothy has represented CityRyde in Entrepreneur Magazine, US News and World Reports, Fast Company and many local news outlets.
